John C. Hardesty

John C. Hardesty is a graduate of Alderson Broaddus University where he received a bachelor’s degree in history/political science in 1976. During his time at AB he served as the Class President his freshman, sophomore and junior years, and was the Student Body President his senior year.  John also worked as an intern for the WV House of Delegates and Department of Labor, and was the campaign manager for the McCuskey for Congress campaign. After college, John began working in the oil and gas industry where he spent nearly 40 years before retiring in 2017.

 

John may be retired but he stays quite busy volunteering his time as a member of the local area school board, the Clymer Borough Zoning Hearing Board, local district Boy Scot Advancement Committee, and now serving the WVICU as one of its newest members. In his spare time, John enjoys gardening, reading, antiquing, and spending time with his wife Kathy, their three adult children (John, TJ, and Emma) and five grandchildren.
